Our Pastors

Apostle Israel Emmanuel

Apostle Israel Emmanuel
I was born on a Tuesday, July 15th, 1975, to my beloved parents, Mr. Stephen Obah Emmanuel and my late mother, Mrs. Victoria Ofuname Obah, who went to be with the Lord on August 19th, 2025. My life has been a journey of grace, marked by childhood encounters with God, salvation, ministry, marriage, and international service. As a child, I had remarkable spiritual experiences that revealed God’s hand upon me. Around the age of seven to eight years old, while standing by the orange tree in front of our family house, I looked into the sky and saw a vision: a table was set, and a man stood on one side of it. At the other end was a figure that looked like me, and I saw the man pour oil upon that figure. I ran to call my late half-sister Ebun (then Ebun Obah), but they could not see what I was seeing. That moment stayed in my spirit as a divine sign of God’s calling. Another experience came when I was speaking with an older girl about Jesus Christ.
She began to confess who she was and the kingdom of darkness she belonged to. From that moment, I began to realize the power in the name of Jesus, and it shaped my thoughts until the day I truly gave my life to Christ. That defining day came in December 1992 at about 8:00 pm, when I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and became born again. That encounter became the true beginning of my walk with God. I started my primary education at Somorika Primary School, Somorika (1980–1982) and continued at Azane Model Primary School, Ibillo (1983–1986). I attended Ibillo Boys Grammar School, Ibillo (1987–1991) before completing at Anglican Grammar School, Igarra (1991–1992). I gained admission into the Federal College of Education in 1993 to study Agricultural Science/Education, graduating in 1996. In December 1996, during the General Convention of the Gospel Mission Bible Church, I received my first ordination as a Minister of the Gospel. My first full-time pastoral work was at Arokho in Owan East L.G.A of Edo State (1996–1998). I was then transferred to Auchi in Etsako East L.G.A (1998–1999). In 1999, I received a “Macedonian call” to Lagos, where I pastored from 1999–2002. From there, I was transferred back to Edo State and pastored the Benin City branch from 2002–2004. On October 9th, 2005, I was blessed in marriage to my beloved wife, Ifueli Sarah Akeredolu. Together, God has blessed us with four wonderful children: Rehoboth, Beloved, God’sfavour, and Sharon. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, I connected with Omega Fire Ministries and attended the Omega Bible Institute, where on November 4th, 2007, I received my Diploma in Theology at the International Worship Centre, Omega Fire Ministries, along with my second ordination. I furthered my ministerial training with an Advanced Diploma and Post-Graduate Diploma at the International College of Ministry, affiliated with AMES Christian University, Florida, USA, and also earned a Certificate from the Morris Cerullo School of Ministry. In Omega Fire Ministries, I served across several branches: Aviele, Benin City, Makurdi, Ekpoma, and Ibadan. In 2016, I was posted on international assignment to Canada, beginning at the Calgary branch. From there, I pioneered and planted OFM Edmonton and was later transferred to Toronto. After serving faithfully, I resigned in obedience to the leading of the Lord. I was later employed to work with Crown of Glory Gospel Church, located at 58 Eddystone Avenue, North York, Toronto, Canada (M3N 1H7), where I continued to serve the Body of Christ from 2019-2021. In obedience to God’s mandate, I sought the will of the Lord and founded the Enlightened Gathering of the Latter Rain of the Spirit Believers Ministry, also known as Spirit Rain Church. This ministry was birthed to raise a people prepared for the latter rain outpouring of the Holy Spirit, equipping believers for holiness, revival, and the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. My life is a testimony of the grace and faithfulness of God—from childhood visions under an orange tree, to my salvation in 1992, to marriage and family, to years of ministry in Nigeria and Canada. I remain committed to preaching Christ, discipling believers, and preparing the Church for the glorious return of our Lord and Savior.
